Stories in the Park- Finale

On Monday July 30th, the final Stories in the Park took everyone to Muddy Boots Farm on Moccasin Road where Tammy Speakman, proprietor, read the children a book called ‘Muddy Paws’ which was about a puppy on a farm.  Muddy Boots Farm was a wonderful place to visit, and to have the end of summer reading program party.

Thanks to Helen Platz for heading up this program, Kingston National Bank for sponsoring it, Tammy Speakman for allowing everyone access to the farm and animals, and all the other featured speakers that presented this year.

If you would like more information about the Petting Farm please visit www.muddyboots.farm or visit their facebook page at www.facebook.com/muddybootsfarm.hockinghills/

Stories in the Park – Todd Wickham

Technical Sargent Todd Wickham of the US Air Force was the featured reader at Stories in the Park on July 16th at the Adelphi Park.  We would like to thank Todd for his service to our country and for his time to come out to the village, read a book, and share some stories with the youth in attendance!

Stories in the Park – Cathy Knoop

Cathy Knoop, a Naturalist, was the featured reader at Stories in the Park June 25th. She read a book that was about a young spiders point of view. The kids learned some fun facts about insects, spiders and daddy long legs , which by the way are not a spider but related to them. The next Stories in the Park will be Monday July 9 at the Laurelville Park starting at 10:00 am. The featured reader will be Laurelville’s Mayor, Brent Ebert.
